Perm authorities during the citywide cleanup action (“Subbotnik”) cleaned up the small rivers valleys
Mayor of Perm Aleksey Demkin and the city administration employees joined the city spring cleaning on April 15. This year it included the locations of future eco-parks in the valleys of the Egoshikha and the Danilikha rivers.
The spring cleaning was traditionally attended by employees of the Perm administration, regional authorities, councillors of various levels, enterprises, public organizations and residents of the city. So, the cleaning took place in the Mindovsky garden and other public spaces.
This year, special attention was paid to cleaning the valleys of small rivers. For example, the Perm Mayor and his co-workers of the Perm City Administration cleaned up the valleys of the Danilikha and Egoshikha rivers, taking away the litter from the banks and cleaning up the channels. The collected garbage included a lot of household items - car tires, bottles, shoes and even a skateboard.
“Small rivers are the real wealth of Perm, we have more than 300 of them. This is really a resource that should be valued and protected. Unfortunately, now the valleys of the small rivers do not look very good. The “Green Ring” project, which we are implementing together with the regional authorities, is designed to improve the situation. This year we will start the creation of the “Egoshikha valley” ecopark, develop the site adjacent to the “Shpagina Plant” and Egoshikhinsky Cultural Memorial Park, - said Aleksey Demkin.
City district officials have also taken part the spring cleanup in their territories. Thus, Kirovsky district administration employees worked on the forest strip in Marshal Rybalko Street. In the Leninsky district the square "Tales of Pushkin" was cleaned, in Ordzhonikidzevsky - the Morozov square and in Industrialny – the square in the memory of man-made disasters victims. In the Sverdlovsky district, municipal officials cleaned a section of the Sibirskaya Street from Revolution Street to Shvetsov Street and the area of the house 59 in Sibirskaya Street.
In addition, prior to the “subbotnik” and on that day the teams of industrial enterprises, organizations, trade and consumer service enterprises, educational and medical institutions have traditionally joined the cleanup event, as did the employees of health facilities, institutes and universities. Spring cleaning will continue until the end of April.
Long before the Saturday cleanup authorized by the Mayor of Perm Aleksey Demkin, comprehensive spring cleaning activities started in all the city districts. Contractors have cleaned up the garbage, cleaned the curb stones, fences, streets. The city will be completely in order by the May holidays.
